A Mother’s Day Prayer

Our Father in Heaven
whose love is divine,
Thanks for the love of a Mother like mine
And grant this dear Mother
the Gift of Your Love
And All through the year,
whatever betide her,
Assure her each day
that You are beside her.

A Mother’s Day Poem: Mender Broken Dreams

Every good mother has a way
of patching up the wounds of the day
With words of faith, and hope and love
Which encourages her children to trust Him above.

She uses her skills to mend and sew
the torn relationships that come and go
With stitches which hold of mercy and grace
That secure for the officer his traumas to face.

Life flows steadily for ministers all
who daily contend with the day’s rise and fall
Each trusts His Father to show forth the scheme
And leans on Mother-Mender of Broken Dreams!
